Car hire in Mallorca with no deposit and no security bond
A closed price, full cover included and payment when you collect the car.
- No hidden costs
- No deposit or security bond
- No hold on your card
We don’t block any money on your card, we don’t ask for a security bond and we charge you nothing when you book. The price you see when you enter your dates is the price you pay when you collect the car at Palma Airport, with full cover and no excess already included. If something doesn’t add up, you haven’t paid a thing.
What you see is what you pay
The price shown once you enter your dates already includes everything. There are no extras appearing later and no small print at the desk, not least because there is no desk.

What actually happens when you arrive
We wait for you outside the terminal, about 140 metres away, in front of the café below the car park. You show us your driving licence, your ID and your booking, you sign the contract and you drive away.
That’s it. We don’t ask for a card to block money, we don’t hold any amount and we don’t offer you any extra insurance, because the cover is already included. Your contract is ready and waiting: it only takes a few minutes.
Book now and pay on collection
We ask for no bank details to book. There is no charge when you book or as the date approaches: you pay when you collect the car, by credit card, debit card or in cash.
That is the real guarantee: booking commits you to nothing and no money is held on your card.
One exception: if your flight lands outside our delivery hours, from 8:00 to 20:00, we send you a payment link so you can pay for the rental on the day of collection.
“No excess” is not the same as “excess insurance”
This is the costliest confusion in car hire. A car with no excess is a car you owe nothing on if there is a covered damage. Excess insurance is something else: the car does have an excess, you pay it first and then you claim it back.

Put another way: one promises you’ll get your money back. The other means you never have to put it up.
Why surprises appear when you collect the car
When you book through an intermediary, you normally pay up front, and the booking can usually only be cancelled up to one or two days before. When you arrive to collect the car, the deposit appears: in Spain an excess of between €900 and €1,500 is normal on a small car, and considerably more on larger ones.
By then it is too late to walk away: cancelling means losing what you have paid. That is why many customers end up buying, right there, cover they thought they already had.
This is not an invented problem. In 2018 the British competition authority required several car hire intermediaries to explain the excess and the deposits clearly, after investigating their hidden charges.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a security bond and an excess?+
The security bond is the money held when you collect the car, as a guarantee. The excess is what you would have to pay if the car is damaged. With us there is neither.
Will you block money on my card?+
No. We hold no amount either when you book or when you collect the car.
Do I have to pay anything when booking?+
No. You pay when you collect the car, by credit card, debit card or in cash. Only if collection falls outside our 8:00 to 20:00 hours do we send you a payment link beforehand, to pay on that same day.
Do I need a credit card?+
It isn’t compulsory. You can pay by credit card, debit card or in cash, whichever suits you best.
What happens if I have a real accident?+
Full cover is included in the price: if the damage is covered, you have nothing to pay. Most of our cars are supplied this way; if any vehicle is an exception, it is stated on its page before you book.
What do I need to collect the car?+
A valid driving licence, ID and your booking. You need to be 20 years old and to have held your licence for a year, with no young driver surcharge. Some models require a higher age: you will see it on the car’s page once you enter your dates.
Can I cancel?+
Yes, free of charge up to 24 hours before collection. And since you have paid nothing, you lose nothing.
Does a second driver cost more?+
No, it’s free. You just need to show their licence when you collect the car.
