When you make a booking, we collect: first and last name, date of birth, country, telephone, email, flight details (if applicable), comments and chosen payment method. If you complete your profile later on, we also collect address, city, postal code and driving licence number.

3. Purpose of processing

We use your data to manage your car rental booking, to communicate with you about it (confirmations, availability, incidents) and to comply with our legal and tax obligations.

4. Legal basis

The legal basis is the performance of the rental contract you request and, where applicable, your consent. We do not use your data for purposes other than those indicated without informing you beforehand.

5. Recipients

In order to provide the service, your data may be disclosed to the partner rental company that ultimately supplies the vehicle. We may also use technology providers (web hosting and email delivery) that act as data processors and access the data solely to provide us with their service. We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties for commercial purposes.

6. Retention

We retain your data for as long as necessary to manage the booking and, thereafter, for the periods legally required (for example, tax obligations).

7. Your rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability at any time by writing to info@carspainonline.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

8. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Payment is always made at the time of vehicle pick-up; we do not request banking details through the website.
